In the event of a heat dome we will contact you to make arrangements to meet at the Delbrook Rec Centre entrance to Mosquito Creek. We have tested this location in the heat dome, and it proved to provide ample shade, cool water and shelter from the heat.
In the event of wildfire smoke affecting our air quality we are taking names of clients interested in hosting us in their homes. We are thinking basement spaces with a washroom, that could accommodate up to 12 kids. If we were to need to utilize this exchange, you would be reimbursed the rate of one child per day for the amount of days we used your space. Our aim would be to leave the space more tidy than we found it, respecting your home and belongings.
